Today at my brother Col’s place he showed me a new tune to practice. He called it the blues bosser, although he’s not sure if he has the correct name for it. Apparently it’s a well known Jazz tune, so if your familiar with this tune and know the title let me know in the comments below.
I am going to attempt to learn it over the course of the next week, so I thought it would be a good idea to write out the Chords for it, and hopefully when I have it down pat maybe record a video of me and Col jamin it out, may even try to hook up with another one of our mates to really get it rockin along.
The tune has three parts to it. In the chord diagrams below each chord represents one beat and so does a “/” So when you see a chord diagram followed by / / / you know that chord is played for four beats.
Part 1
Cm7:2 / / / | Fm7:4 / / / ||
Dm7b5:2 / | G7:2 / ||
Part 2. Side note, the Dm7b5 chord below should be played at the 5th fret.
D#m7:3 / | G#7:2 / ||
C#maj7:2 / / / | Dm7b5:2 / G#7:2 ||
Part 3
Cm7:2 / | Dm7:3 | G7:2 ||
